Haulout Hackathon Event Rules

The Haulout Hackathon (the “Hackathon”) organized and sponsored by the Sui Foundation and Walrus Foundation (collectively, the “Sponsors”). The overarching goal of the Hackathon is to foster developer engagement with the Sui blockchain network and the Walrus protocol (the “Networks”) resulting in the deployment and launch of high quality and durable projects on the Network (each, a “Submission”) and the secondary goal is to foster the growth of the Network’s global developer community while embodying the Sui Foundation’s values of openness, fairness and competition through tangible action that involves participants from the entire ecosystem.

By participating in the Hackathon, you agree to the Deepsurge Terms and Conditions, Mysten Privacy Policy, and these Event Rules.

Registration Period: Nov 6th - Nov 16th

Hackathon Duration: Nov 6th - Nov 16th (“Hackathon Duration”)

Results Announcement: November 24

Hackathon Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or the age of majority in the jurisdiction where you reside. You must not be a resident of a sanctioned or restricted jurisdiction.

You must register on the DeepSurge Platform to participate in the Hackathon Event. Your Application must contain:

• Project name and logo
• Project description
• If your Project is an existing project on the Network, please briefly describe the new feature or redesign that will be completed during the Hackathon.
• Project website
• Primary contact
• GitHub repo on which your Project is published
• App store link for your Project (if applicable)

Please note the following additional eligibility requirements for your Submission:

• Your Submission must be deployed on the applicable Network’s mainnet, testnet or devnet, or otherwise integrated with the applicable Network.
• Your Submission must be either a new project on the applicable Network, or an established project that is implementing a well-defined new feature or redesign within the Hackathon Duration.
